Dark copper in color with notes of caramel, bread, toast, and slight graininess with a firm but not aggressive bitterness. 4.9% ABV.
Brooklyn Township, located in what is now Oakland, extended from Indian Gulch (Trestle Glen) to San Antonio Creek. This area was home to several large breweries, including the Brooklyn Brewery. At its peak, Brooklyn Brewery produced 35bbls of Brooklyn Steam Beer a day! Oakland eventually annexed the town of Brooklyn in 1872 but the area was still referred to as Brooklyn for many years after.
