Also known as the 'Pennsylvania Porter,' this historical beer style is based on both English and German traditional brewing recipes but was redeveloped in Colonial Pennsylvania using purely American ingredients. The first commercial porter production dates back to the Revolutionary War- even George Washington was a fan of the American-made porter! 5.7% ABV.
